"We're still an American brand,
but we're also a brand and a company whose products
have been adopted by consumers around the

operate as a global company." oh well

Mayor of Palm
Bay Florida wants to be CHINA FREE!
Mayor John Mazziotti said.
"There is no free trade anymore. Good
manufacturing jobs we want here are all gone to
China,"
" Last month, he recommended
another ordinance that would prohibit the city
from purchasing goods from China in the wake of
numerous recalls of Chinese-made products because of
safety concerns." Link
A Chinese Population Equal to
the USA has No Safe Drinking Water!
"Nearly 312 million rural
Chinese residents have no access to safe drinking
water, facing problems of shortage as well as severe
contamination. These rural populations, typically the
most disadvantaged groups in China, suffer frequent
and serious health attacks as a result of drinking
unsafe water. The threats come from both naturally
occurring contaminants such as arsenic, fluorine, and
salt as well organic and industrial pollution caused
by human activities." Link
.... I think it's worse ...
Chinese officials won't drink it!
Your
Cosmetics might come from executed convicts!!
"A Chinese cosmetics company is
using skin harvested from the corpses of executed
convicts to develop beauty products for sale in
Europe, an investigation by the Guardian has
discovered.
Agents for the firm have told
would-be customers it is developing collagen for lip
and wrinkle treatments from skin taken from prisoners
after they have been shot. The agents say some of the
company's products have been exported to the UK, and
that the use of skin from condemned convicts is
"traditional" and nothing to "make
such a big fuss about".

CHILD FORCED LABOR
PRODUCES EXPORTS TO THE USA
Why do we buy such products?
..... By buying these goods we are exploiting
children! We would not allow it here .... but
we consider it an internal Chinese problem not ours
and besides ... they are just Chinese Children ...
What Racism! KMH
"Even
more noteworthy is the fact that - compared to adult
workers - child workers tend to be more docile
and compliant, submit more readily to their
employers arbitrary extension of work hours and
do not demand overtime pay. Moreover, because hiring
child workers is illegal, employers can avoid paying
various legally-mandated social security fees on
their behalf, making the cost of employing child
labour even lower. In addition, some of the
physiological characteristics of child workers meet
employers specific needs in terms of production
and management. For example, their fingers are
nimble, their eyesight is good, and, in some types of
work, they can be more productive than adults."

European
Union ...
"EU toy safety rules will be
revised by the end of the year, the European
Commission said Tuesday, responding to concerns
sparked by three high-profile recalls of Chinese-made
toys by a U.S. company this year.
The new rules will update EU
guidelines set in 1988 and target toxic substances
and any components that might harm
children" Link

Chinese
Unemployment.
Despite serious rural unemployment
and vague figures for urban areas is masked by the
continuing boom in the Chinese economy.
"Considering a pool of 150 million surplus
workers in the countryside, the job market in
China is still "complicated and grave," Link
Why is this important? Because the
Red Army draws from that vast pool of the unemployed
and there is a giant surplus of males to females.
This combination in China has always led to war and
one assumes history will repeat.
China ... " ... lead is still
so common that researchers say up to one-fifth of
Chinese children tested had unsafe levels in their

Lead Paint is a
huge issue and was not an accidental nor a
mistaken production error. The large number of "
lead paint recalls" from many Chinese
companies can not be an "opps I'm we screwed
up". The Chinese are well aware of the dangers
of lead paint and this can only be a intentional ....
lead adds brightness to colors; durability,
flexibility (and yep Cheap!) to the
paint. Ben Franklin knew it ... letter
he wrote .... SO ... we know why; I repeat
...CHEAP... but why chance the loss of the American
markets? Because they are buying politicians now and
a presidency in the past. They do not expect to be
really punished. So we can bitch and moan and
protect our children and buy higher priced .... and
safer toys and children's furniture, beds and
accessories from other sources .. or just
let them "Eat Paint" ..... Read
the National Safety Council on lead and children
then decide. KH

Chinese Authorities .... say ..
"Li also hit out at foreign companies exploiting
China's cheap production costs and warned that they
risk getting shoddy products if they demand too low a
price from Chinese manufacturers.
"If you give a high price for purchasing, the
factories will use high quality raw materials to
produce. But if the price is low, they can only
use inferior raw materials," (So if our
price is cheap ... we will send you shoddy, dangerous
crap!)
"The main "business"
of the women's section of the Masanjia Labor Camp is textile
production. Not only are the detainees not paid, but
also their work hours and workloads are pushed to
the limit to "boost productivity and
profits."
" over a thousand school- aged
children have been working as slaves in brick
factories in China's
Shanxi province. The conditions described are
atrocious: children as young as 8
hauling bricks for over ten hours a day and facing
regular beatings." Link
"One of the twelve currently on
trial, Wang Bingbing, was a boss at the Kiln factory.
Wang happens to be the son of the secretary of a

Party." The

And What do the
Chinese say: "I dare not eat farmed fish
or meat because most are fed with growth pills or
pumped with bad additives. I worry about vegetables
in case they are tainted with pesticide. I even think
twice about the water I drink because it might
contain heavy metals." .......... "I
think foreign food is less risky. Even though
they are not as fresh, I trust products from the US,
Europe and Japan because those countries protect
their environments. Sometimes when I see foreigners
blithely eating raw lettuce in Chinese restaurants, I
worry for them." Link
But who is watching
the exports in China
" ..... the exceedingly high
levels of pesticide residues in Chinese food products
may pose significant problems for international
sales, especially in Europe, Japan and the U.S.,
where food safety standards are more stringent and
more strictly enforced."
Link
"China's
contamination problems stem in large part from its
loose regulations and highly fragmented food
production. Hundreds of millions of small farmers
grow its food, and they rely heavily on chemicals
to coax production out of intensively cultivated
soils and to fight pests.
The result: "China has one of the world's
highest rates of chemical fertilizer use per
hectare, and Chinese farmers use many highly toxic
pesticides, including some that are banned in the
United States," according to a report published
last November by the economic-research service of the
U.S. Department of Agriculture." Link

from China!

because China is growing and their demand is growing,
that they will actually stop exporting peanuts and
might even begin importing. However, their crop this
year is up by 10 percent, and 10 percent of a
14-million metric ton crop is the size of the entire

exporting."
